Mantua Urban Peace Garden

The Mantua Urban Peace Garden (MUPG) is a community space for residents to grow and share healthy, organic fruits and vegetables and build relationships with their neighbors.

MUPG, located at 37th and Brown Streets, was established in May 2013, with support from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Currently, Mt. Vernon Manor CDC serves as MUPG’s fiscal sponsor and will hold a long-term lease for the land so that gardeners have a guaranteed space to grow produce and community.

The garden features 52 plots and is organized by an elected board. Plots are $25 each for the season (April to November). If you’re interested in becoming a gardener, you can sign up for a plot until April 15 by filling out this form, contacting 215-475-9492, or emailing mantuaurbanpeacegarden@gmail.com
